The Starting Line - Say It Like You Mean It

Although I sometimes get tired of hearing all the pop punk bands that sounds so similar and seem like they are all singing a different version of a song about the same chick, this record really caught my ear. The vocal melodies are truly catchy and will have you singing along in no time. Some older tunes are redone here, but many times for the better. The Starting Line have crafted what I feel may be the best pop punk record thus far. And not every song is about girls!! There are even a few guest vocals that come in great contrast to what you may excpect to be all sappy/happy melodies. But fear not, this record is still dominated by the simpler instrument stylings of the pop punk we’ve all come to know and love since The Starting Line’s debut ep, and I think you’ll find yourself giving this record repeated spins and singing along to the surprisingly original lyrics.
