New Found Glory

What can I say about New Found Glory that hasn't already been said in Teen People? Nothing really, but I would just like to thank Chad for doing this interview, because he was in a hurry, and it's not like they need the publicity, especially from us!

If you were going to be stranded on a desert island, and could only bring 3 CDs, and 3 other things, what would you bring?
3 CDs? I would bring Hatebreed – Satisfaction is the Death of Desire, They Might Be Giants – Lincoln, and Bjork, what's a Bjork record? And, Bjork – Post. Three other things, if I was stranded on a desert island? I would bring a box of Cheeze-Its, I would bring, and I don't know, a laptop? No, there would be no Internet connection on the island. Scratch the laptop. A picture of my family, and one of those little beach balls like Tom Hanks had, and I would draw a face on it and play with it.

Would you rather fight Mike Tyson, or talk like him?
Talk like him.

Wow! That's the first time I've heard that!
Everyone said they'd fight him? Dude, why would you want to die?

If you could be anyone for a day, who would you be, and what would you do?
Um... I'd be Britney Spears, and I would go around and hook up with all the... I don't know, I'd just be a slut for a day, and then the next day I wouldn't have to be there, and she would be known as a big slut.

What's the funniest or craziest thing that's happened while you've been on tour?
This is a crazy thing. We played a show in Portland, and the kids were jumping up and down, and they broke the floor from under them, and we had to stop the show because the ceiling was busted. That was pretty crazy.

What's your take on people sharing MP3s, and hearing albums before they come out, and stuff like that?
I don't like how people hear the album before it comes out. Not for any money reason, not for any "Hey man! We don't want that, people won't buy the CD!" Not for that reason, I just like people to hear the record in its complete... as a whole like everything, the layout. I just like it, ya know, like if you have a painting, and it's not finished, you don't want to show it to anyone until it's done. So I wish people wouldn't get the album before it comes out, but... I don't mind about people downloading our music. It helps our band, because it's all about the music anyway. If they like our CD, they'll come to the show, and if they get it for free, who cares? MP3s are cool.
